Ghosting

I like this cover a lot. Strictly a visceral thing. Just the rawness, ambiguity of it I guess. But it's really nice. I did something similar (The Way Into Narnia) but not as successfully. There's a lot of this kind of book cover design going around right now and it's very appealling. Covers that are rough and handmade looking, a reaction I think to things looking too much like they were designed on the computer. Even though they were!
