It's always amazing how one can bump into things unwittingly on the web... I just found this quilt image while looking for something completely unrelated. This is a quilt by a woman in Georgia, USA, though I have no idea of the time period. I love the implied squares and the great colours.

I don't know anything about the story behind these images, but they really are something to see. From an era where you don't expect to see colour, these photographs have a startling quality.
